Just imagine what would have happened if I have read this book when I was a teenager...

I wish I had come across this book when I was younger, but you know what they say, better late than never! I'm in my late 50s now, and I'm so grateful that I discovered this gem!

I've already started to see improvements in my finances by simply following the straightforward steps provided in this book.

No complicated financial jargon or confusing strategies here.

Let me break it down for you.

This book is like having a wise friend give you priceless financial advice in the most straightforward way.

The best part? The system it lays out is incredibly simple. No complicated financial jargon or confusing strategies here.

Now, I have to admit, the book's writing style has that old English vibe, which might make you hesitate. But trust me, don't let that put you off.

Once you get into it, you'll find it charming, and the stories become incredibly engaging.

But - if this still deters you, keep reading here, as I will share a little tip on how to 'avoid' the 'old school' parts...

My favorite Babylonian

The book focuses on characters like Arkad, Bansir, and Kobbi, Babylonians who share their financial wisdom and experiences.

These stories are framed as if they are derived from ancient Babylonian stone tablets, that were translated by a fictional professor of archaeology named Alfred H. Shrewsbury.

The character who wrote these tablets is called Dabasir, and although he is not a main character in the book (as the other three mentioned above) - he is by far my favorite one, as he conveys financial advice in the simplest way to understand.

That's why the two letters written by Alfred H. Shrewsbury are the real nuggets of wisdom in this book. These two letters are pure gold: they distill the essence of financial success into simple, actionable steps.

Shhh...

I probably shouldn't say that (and that's the tip I was referring to), but if you only read these 2 letters and the 5 tablets - that should be enough to understand this treasure trove of financial wisdom.

So, if you're looking for a book that can help you eliminate debt and start saving, "The Richest Man in Babylon" is it. It's never too late to take control of your finances; this book makes it feel achievable at any age.
